Ah the joy of MAKING some new terrain for miniature gaming
So we have goten to the point that going to the store to play Apocalypse has become too onerous. And we decided that we wanted to try gaming at home. So ... I am back at the ol' terrain making... yep hills. Got some pink foam a few years ago. And after doing three SMALL hills, I just finished carving my first "round hill."

So you say, but you could order them! Of course... but making them at home is half the fun! (And they are also cheaper)

Ah have not done this in years... so here I am carving and now painting. We will have some descent hills... and buildings, oh buildings galore.

If we wanted to do flames of war... those we have a plenty buildings... but for 40K scale not really.

Oh and of course there is the pesky painting of the new fantasy armies. We enjoy it... my skellies are coming out very nicely thank you... and good enough to perhaps enter them into a painting contest too.

I like well painted minis. I really do.

But as you get better with the carving the hills are easier to carve into the right forms.
