1. Can't let a Nelson and Jeanette film pass without comment.
I enjoy this one - the second part does stretch credibility a bit, but
it has wonderfully witty dialogue by Dorothy Parker and Alan Campbell as
a counterpoint to the musical contribution of Victor Herbert.

The pair are in fine voice and there's the usual wonderful chemistry
between them - I particularly get a kick out of the "Pretty as a Picture"
number, when Nelson blows gently on Jeannette's neck. Scripted or not?

Wonderful support from the always funny Frank Morgan and Herman Bing too - if you want pure escapism and beautiful music and singing, watch
this one.
