1. Beautiful pics, CB
Here, the eleventh of November is known as Remembrance Day. We on the left also remember "The Dismissal" - the day
the Governor-General sacked the Whitlam Government at the behest of Liberal leader, Malcolm Fraser. I therefore
remember it as the day I became an Australian for a Republic.

TCM, as usual, shows its disdain for what is happening in the outside world by programming two Andy Hardy movies at
prime time. In the afternoon, they're showing a film called "Men Must Fight" - I've never heard of it; it has
Lewis Stone and Diana Wynyard. Then they have "Mata Hari" at 5.00 - now that's one I'd watch, but I have to question
its placement at kiddie viewing time.

Fox Classics is more in the spirit, with a film called "The Bedford Incident" at 8.30 - Richard Widmark and Sidney
Poitier. I don't know it, but with those two, it's probably not bad. That's followed by "The Heroes of Telemark" -
seen that, don't want to see it again, but at least it's appropriate.
