QUESTION 1
Here on DU we have some of the smartest minds that money cannot buy (well maybe some, lol), but I would like to pose a question to the Mathematicians. Question 2 will be for Economist.

This question and its follow up question are based on a purely HYPOTHETICAL SCENARIO!!!!The basis of my question is to get factual numbers for a HYPOTHETICAL SCENARIO and provoke a different way of thinking based on numbers. My Father would always tell me you can jiggle the numbers all you want but when you add them up they cannot lie.So I base this question on finding the truth in NUMBERS.

There are around 3 hundred million people in the U.S. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2000_United_States_Census And 97% of Americans make under 250,000 annually.
MY QUESTION- If 97% of Americans took their MONEY out of Banks,Investments, and using products tied to Big Corp with the exception of basic utilities and gas ,and took the money and put it into community based businesses,How long would it be before the ULTRA 2% feels the effect???
If it were done systematically???
If it were done on a massive scale???
How much could our net worth be estimated to be????

1. They'd feel it immediately
Even though assets tend to be concentrated at the top, the thing to understand is that all these financial institutions are levered up quite highly, so even taking a small % of the cash out of the system will make a lot of marble-floored hallways very uncomfortable places to be inside of 24 hours.

2. Time to
just look at things a little in a more logistical perspective.
