Just came home from playing show. Check out the setlist: |

I play in a moody original music duo, but tonight we were augmented by two guitarists, a percussionist, and a pianist. This was for a gallery exhibit currently running that deals with race and its context and configurations. We decided to cover a set of blues/jazz based songs "composed" by "white" artists
"Summertime" George and Ira Gershwin "Strange Fruit" Lewis Allen "You Win Again" Hank Williams "Washed In The Blood" neotraditional spiritual "Miranda" Deb Marlow "No Expectations" Mick Jagger and Keith Richard "Cry Me A River" Arthur Johnson "Sittin' On Top Of The World" who knows? "Goodbye Johnny" Jeffrey Lee Pierce (Gun Club) "Oh Jim" Lou Reed
It was a great set of songs, and a great time.
