Just a little note here as the Hillary folks would roast me for posting an "anecdote" |
|
I attended a Christmas party with a ton of my GOP type friends. I have known them for years and we frequently clash on politics.Over the last several years though they have gotten much more persuadable. They don't like Bush and most supported my husband and will again in his state senate race.Tonight, they mostly talked about how they like Edwards and would vote for him! But they were united in that they would NEVER vote for Hillary. They said they would vote for anyone but Hillary! They all think Edwards could win. These folks have frequently been my barometer into GOP thought.Just thought you guys would like to know. Most also asked how the polls have her so far ahead when no one knew anyone who liked her.I said "Mark Penn".

My foaming-at-the-mouth conservative friends who don't care about poor people because it isn't their fault "they chose to be poor" and don't vote either because they'll still be wealthy/conflicts with pilates class/luncheons/day at the spa.....
.....will drag their sorry butts to the polls to vote "against" Hillary ! Even if Charlie Manson was the GOP candidate!
That just saddens me to no end. "morans" Thank goodness for my DU and Kos fix :D
Oh a happier note...your husband is a State Senator !? How great!!

I guess all we can do is wait and see, but I think if Edwards gets the nomination, a lot of RWers, not to mention a hoard of indies, will mob the polls to vote for him! He has universal appeal.
And he knows how to express it.
Geeee, must be all that horrible lawyerly trainin'.
