Something kinda of cool.... |
|
I just saw someone walking past the window of my home office, in a full Burka.
I live in Northern California; on one of possibly the most multi cultural streets that I can think of. My neighbors are from just about everywhere!
There's only a couple of White families there, but tons of everything else, from Indians from India (next door to the right), to Afghans (across the street), to Chinese (down the block), Black folks (next door to the left), to Japanese a few houses down.
I may just take a survey in the next few weeks by going door to door, to see just how diverse it truly is.

1. Diversity is a good thing... |
|
I have the opposite issue. We are the only black folks around for the most part.
Sounds like you live in a great neighborhood Frenchie!

2. You know, they're trying to pass a law here in Australia against the burka?? |
|
Why won't governments leave these people alone?? I would personally never dress in a burka, but I would never deny someone else the opportunity to if that's what they wanted. Isn't that supposed to be the whole point of "religious freedom??"

3. I don't get it either. |

It's like everyone has to be westernized, or else.
