Just ain't felt like posting that much in the last month or so...I'd say less than 50 in the last 30 days.
Long work hours, kids, and a few video games took all my time. Plus sometimes I get message board burn out.

I just finished moving across country and am settling into life on the east coast. Just got my 'puter hooked up... haven't had much to say though--reading some of the recent posts in other areas of DU has made me less inclined to participate at DU anymore... don't feel much like casting my pearls about, ya know?

When I first discovered this group, I was so happy to find liberals like me. But I have noticed that the tone of this group has definitely changed and not for the better in some situations.

The recent trend of harsh tones and discord at DU is all the more reason for you to stay and speak up, even if it does seem like "pearls before swine." In many, many aspects of the Popular Discourse, the strident elements have "won out" over moderation and tolerance. Be a damn shame to see that happen to DU as a whole.
