MICHIGAN PETITION CAMPAIGN TO PUT GORE ON PRIMARY BALLOT NOW ENABLES SUPPORTERS TO CONTRIBUTE $ THROUGH PAYPAL

Needing contributions from Draft Gore supporters everywhere, in order to make asuccess of their put-Gore-on-the-primary-ballot petition campaign, MichiganDraft Gore leaders have opened a Paypal business account. Here are instructions for donors with or without a personal Paypal account:

If you have a Paypal account, log in to it, click on send money, for payment type choose "other," choose an amount, and send it to [e-mail].

If a donor does not have a Paypal account, a one-time donation may be made.

Go to www.Paypal.com and choose Send money. Provide the requested information and direct the donation to [e-mail]

Michigan's brand-new primary law provides for a January 15 primary. For the petition drive to put Gore on the primary ballot, 12,396 valid signatures of registered Michigan voters are required by 4 p.m. October 23.If in the meanwhile the Michigan Democratic Party switches to caucuses, petition circulators and signers will be mobilized for the caucuses. $2,500 is needed for postage, copying, supplies, and mileage expense of the petition campaign volunteer manager's constant trips throughout lower Michigan. An additional $12,000 would support hiring of full-time petition circulators, who have been essential to the success of past statewide petition campaigns.

to send a donation by check? I started to use the one time pay pal option, but it looks like you end up opening a pay pal account, which I don't want to do. But I would like to donate. Any idea of an address or website that might have info on donating via snail mail?

He was psyched as they have nobody up here yet and I live near Houghton where Mich Tech University is.

Got 30 petitions on the way.

I used to work (field director, Ann Arbor) for a petitioning company (ProgressiveCampaigns) a few years back, so I know the gig.

I'm eager to get out and get sigs...
