2. You and me both
I don't know what he thinks is going to happen, but I hate that he's leaving things up to chance. If he doesn't run this year, that will be it, I'm afraid. As long as we get a Dem president, there won't be a chance to run until 2016 and by then it could be the end of the world as we know it. It will be too late.

3. Al, for god's sake
puh-leeze stop torturing us. I don't want to revive hope, only to see it dashed again.

4. dammit. dammit. dammit.
Been trying to come to a decision on how to help this man on his 'campaign of another sort' and then this quote comes along to rip the wound wide open again.

WTF.

5. He's changed his wording
If I'm not mistaken, he's never said he'd only run for the presidency.

6. He sorta/kinda
implied it when he was interviewed by Larry King for The Assault On Reason. I think I still have it DVR'd. This was when he was asked if he would take a cabinet position, to which he gave an emphatic "No!" Of course he was asked about running for prez earlier in the conversation, with his usual "I have no plans" reply.
In other words, if anyone of these idiots who keep screaming about him taking the VP was paying ATTENTION, they would have known this before he had to make an straight statement. But, hey....
I also do think it IS a positive sign. Definative statements are always helpful, either one way or the other.

7. Was that on May 22, 2007?
I din't watch it (No cable)

But I saved this line from the transcript:

"I have not closed the door on being a candidate"

8. I believe so...
...yep; I just flipped through my DVR menu.
I just get so irritated with the constant "well, he could be a VP!" etc.
Sheesh.
<pulls remaining hair out>

10. Me too
That's ridiculous. After he won in 2000, it simply would not be fitting for him to be VP or to take any cabinet post.

9. Be still my heart!!!!
:loveya:

I never did give up hope. I keep thinking that HE KNOWS that the campaign season is TOO long. The whole system is crazy. He wants to show the country the correct way to do things. I hope I am right. In my heart, I have this feeling, very strong feeling....
