Pushing beliefs on strangers' children, possibly in opposition to what their parents are teaching them? I can't see that ending well.

11. Naah. Halloween is supposed to be fun . . . bringing politics into it . . .

Interferes with kids' pleasure without bringing any benefit. My kids are past Trick or Treating age (and we live somewhere they don't do Halloween) but whenever they would come back from their rounds with religious tracts instead of candy we'd point out that they actually had plenty of candy plus plus, and dumped the tracts into recycling without further ado.

Now if you want to talk about the politics of refined sugar overdoses in children, that's another story entirely.
