3. They know what a lot of the people in this country are like
and probably want to get off the stage alive.

2. Link TV has shown a film about Eugene Hutz
on a trip back to the Ukraine. He visits a few of the well known, traditional Gypsy musicians and is pretty thoroughly shot down for his band's liberties with traditional music. It's really kind of sad, especially since he's opening up a huge new audience to the basic ideas, some of whom will likely search out where those ideas originated.

I love Gogol Bordello and have everything they've put out on CD. They'll likely never play here in the ass end of nowhere in flyover country, but those CDs are my favorite traffic jamming music in my car.

This is actually on one of the CDs in two separate parts and one I most enjoy bellowing along with, "Super Taranta" if you want to look for it.

5. Have you seen Filth and Wisdom?
It's a movie starring Eugene, and featuring GB's music, directed by Madonna

Odd movie, but very entertaining. Saw it at an indie theater a couple years ago

6. I'll have to look for that one
Indie theaters are few and far apart out here in West Desert Desolation.
