2. Whoa on the III stuff
I rather liked Generations and Insurrection. Both had issues, as do all of the movies. I am not too enamored with the old guard movies, save for II. They tend toward a theme of "space geriatrics." If pressed I would have to vote for Generations.

Don't bother flaming me, I am weak of mind, I liked Nemesis.

3. Let's compare these odd ones out:

1. Remake of "The Changeling" and "The Doomsday Weapon", also foreshadows the Borg in some way (Machine civilization, also turns people into its own collective intelligence). It's also pointlessly and excessively boring, and the special edition DVD only hacks it up worse.

3. It has an entertaining and coherent feel, but the plot is absolute RUBBISH. Even 5's is better... the movie works for some scenes and characters, but the plot... the plot is minced, it screws up continuity big time... yuck.

5. Nice ideas but strikes, budget plans, not getting the usual effects maker (ILM), and Shatner's arrogance ruined it in the end. While 3 has a more polished look to it, I'd much rather watch 5.

7. AWESOME ideas here and it had potential. But it felt rushed and, as with most TNG films, had numerous plot inconsistencies with tng's own established history. Or even trek's in general. Never mind inconsistencies in the plot itself; easy for Picard to get out of it... Guinan says it's impossible to go in but if he does he won't get out... Stupid way to tie-in Guinan, never mind how the Lakul ships could get so far into Federation space yet not mention "We're chased by better looking cybermen so watch out 75 years from now...". don't get me started. It's a movie of set-pieces with no coherent plot.

9. All TNG flicks feel like a two-part tv episode with more money spent. But the plot here, for once, tries to bring in new people into the series rather than regurgitate the series' lore to appease the fans with no social lives. It's solidly written, solidly acted, a decent plot, they speak of the oil barons as 'thugs'... Riker with no beard. And, unlike that previous movie that people blindly like, there's a GOOD reason for Picard defying Federation orders this time. What's really not to like here?

9 is, by far, the best of the odd ones.
