Galactica finale coming up, comments on most recent episode

I wonder if pregnant Boomer did her thing last week as a set-up to a future betrayel? As, why would the cylons launch a huge attack if they are so concerned about her baby from the previous episode? Lots of interesting stuff this past week as well - the building of the new ship, the cylon virus, Adama and his decision re: trusting Boomer, the love triangle with Boomer, the Chief & Helo... I think this was the first week we didn't see #6 in Baltar's head, too.

1. I think the cylons are playing, or testing Galactica.

So many questions...

I'm still wondering what happened to the pyramid team. Are they just leaving them behind? Why hasn't Starbuck thrown a fit?

2. As to why the Cylons were attacking...

...could be like Gothic Sponge mentioned to test the RTF. However, notice that there were also a butt-load of boarding crafts (heavy raider) included in the mix. Could be that they intend to board ships and "harvest" survivors for other farms AND "rescue" C-Boomer. There was also a mention that the virus would turn the Galactica against itself i.e. kill or incapacitate the crew, and turn the battlestar against the other ships. With the Galactica in Cylon "control", there may not be a reason to blow it out of the sky. So I think that the Cylon attack isn't merely to wipe out the RTF, considering what we know now of present circumstances. What do you all think?

Oh and edit to say that I can't wait for the mid season finale either! :)
