Dax #2 not so much, but the climax of the series is the same episodes, so I put up with her.

28. It's a funny thing, I never cottoned on to DS9 until it finished. |
|
Though I loved it when I finally started watching. I've always enjoyed Star Trek, in all its incarnations, yes even Enterprise. Each series has its own merits and I have a favourite character from TOS, TNG, and DS9, though none from Voyager or Enterprise.

29. TOS - Kirk era! And proud to say it! |
|
TNG may have been better produced on a consistent level, but one reason is because TNG was made 20 years after TOS.
TOS covers human issues much better than TNG, which often resorted to maudlin preaching. And while TOS did preach (namely "Let that Be Your Last Battlefield"), at least TOS knew when to have fun with itself instead of being a ship of fools where the only human is Data...
Also, Kirk is consistent with his humanity. He even offered to save Khan in ST II, even though Khan did a sneak attack against him. What does Picard do when faced with vile enemies? Mercilessly kills them all (e.g. Borg Queen, Borgified crew, Ru'Afo, et cetera, et cetera). Who seems like the more moral commander? Kirk, by far.

32. Kirk orders Uhura to contact Reliant and order her to surrender and be |

boarded.
Khan, of course, still thought that Kirk hated his guts, spat a few final curses, and activated the Genesis Device.

|
Edited on Fri Nov-19-04 02:12 AM by Anarcho-Socialist
and no one liked DS9 (except me and one other person). I wonder if DS9 has aged better than other incarnations. Although I'm surprised that Voyager has got few votes.
