Amazing that Rutger Hauer ad-libbed most of that. I hope I can make an impromptu speech like that when it's my time to go.
Blade Runner literally changed my life. I was a young man when I saw it the first time, and it just floored me. It made me start thinking about a lot of things differently.

Did Roy actually see attack ships burning off the shoulder of Orion (meaning that humans had somehow managed interstellar travel by the time of the film), or was he remembering a false but very vivid memory?
And what are the implications of each?
