A rather obscure Neal Stephenson book: Interface
Just finished this one and for those who are interested in both American politics and SF it's quite good. Stephenson (and coauthor J Fredrick George) combine football, political intrigue, biological sciences and conspiracy theories in an entertaining read.

Apparently it was originally released under a pseudonym.

1. I read the original release under "Stephen Bury" -- they also co-authored "Cobweb"

2. Just finished this one
in my insatiable drive to read every word Stephenson commits to paper. It only has a few morsels of Stephensonian details, but in general it is a great read. Recommended.

I was struck by how many parallels there are between this book and our current political climate. I love it when speculative fiction hits the mark.

4. Yeah, it seemed eerily prophetic to me too..
I'm reading Quicksilver right now and I'm seeing a couple or three names that were in Cryptonomicon, I'm starting to wonder if Enoch Root is an immortal.

6. I'm not the spoiling type
so you won't hear anything from me EXCEPT that I finished all 3000 pages of the Baroque Cycle, re-read Cryptonomicon, and then read the entire Baroque Cycle again. The guy (Stephenson) is flat-out monstrously talented.
