24 Fans - one by one they're all coming back |

Hope they don't turn Michelle into a colossal bitch, she actually turned into a kick ass agent last year.

1. Tony's story about the end kind of made her a bitch. |
|
It is interesting. I was thinking how other than Jack there was nobody from the first season on during the Fourth and then Tony came back and now she's back. The thing is, I wanted Tony to stay in charge and effectively redeem himself.

4. Is it just me, or has the show gone downhill? |
|
I'm a loyal 24 viewer. Last year it was my favorite show. But I don't find it nearly as interesting as I used to.

In all seriousness, these things are quite subjective. To hear a big chunk of the internet tell it, Buffy should have been cancelled after season 3, but I loved it dearly from beginning to end. In my experience it's never "just you"...it can feel that way sometimes, though, depending on how frequently you visit certain boards and how seriously you take them. :P
I will say this, though: I've been watching religiously since hour 1 of Day 1 and I think this is the best damn season they've ever had, so far. FWIW, the fan & critic consensus seems to be that season 3 was a near-fatal shark jump that just barely managed to recover towards the end, and that this season everything is in top form. I have to agree with the consensus on S4. For the first time in ages and ages, I'm actually interested in ALL the plots, and nothing seems extraneous, not even the relationship angst (which some fans seem to be griping about terribly this year, despite the fact that it's been there from the very beginning). I'm emotionally invested in a deep way, and that's a rare feat for an action-driven show.

6. the last two episodes have been better |
|
and it may just be me. I loved season three. Perhaps I'm just not as impressed with it as I used to be. But the last two episodes have been really good. I think Palmer will come back now that the pres is out of commission and the VP doesn't seem to be up to the task. I think we saw a Bush 9/11 reaction at the end of this week's show: the doe in the headlights phenomenon. We'll be able to tell better on Monday.
