Anyone see the season finale of 24?
I guess "Jack" won't be back? Has anyone heard that Keifer S. wasn't returning?

3. he'll be back
I saw him on Charlie Rose last week. He'll definitely be back next season. You can listen to the 24 interview through the Charlie Rose audio archives if you like. It was last Friday's show (the 20th, I think).

4. Can someone tell me -- briefly -- what 24 is all about?
And whether I should be watching it next season?

5. This is a taller order than you might think
24 is a show that covers one day in time (24 episodes each covering one hour of the day) in the life of Jack Bauer a CTU (counter terrorism agency) agent. Each year has one over arching plotline (involving some sort of terrorist attack) and several plotlines which feed into, or out of, the main plotline. This year it was plot to nuke an American city. It is an intense show that you have to pay attention to, and record if you are going to miss, in order to be able to follow it. It is on the unrealistic side of life, and the writers do have some problems writing well drawn women characters, though this year they did that pretty well, but overall it is one of the best shows on TV. It also is majorly violent.
