Did Sopranos skip a week just to make you pay for 1 more month of HBO?
Sunday night, after having seen the "see you next year" at the end of the Sopranos, I got to thinking about cancelling HBO. I mean seriously, how many Madonna movies do I want to see? The other night, there were TWO different Madonna movies on at the same time!

Hasn't Hollywood made any GOOD movies in the last 80 years they could show instead of Madonna movies?

Even their "on demand" selection isn't that good!

So, I thought about cancelling HBO for a while, and then, hey!, it's June, and I'm going to have to pay for another month anyway....

The question is: was this deliberate scheduling to keep us subscribed to HBO for at least one more month?

1. I doubt it - They never run original programing
On the Sunday night of Labor day or Memorial day weekend.

I would tell you to keep HBO for entourage and Deadwood, plus the new Louie comedy looks great.

2. They did skip a week....
I'm gearing up for Deadwood! Plus, the 4400 on USA Channel. Summer will be a festive time.

3. If you cancel in the middle of the month...
...they shouldn't charge you for the whole month. I cancelled my whole cable service once and they stopped charging me from the moment I made the phone call. They couldn't send somebody to shut it off for almost two weeks, but I wasn't charged for any time after the moment I made that phone call.

5. 6 more episodes in 2007
I think its in January, but it might be February. Rumor is that the finale is a 2 hour episode too.
