What, no AR watchers this season?
*My* team (the boys) are in the final 3, and I strongly feel they deserve to win, and I really hope they do. They will, unless they just really get some bad luck.
Tonight's show was interesting, and I'm glad the girls finally got taken out, and it wasn't even due to the penalty. The boys did the right thing by tailing them on this leg.
I liked those tall people things in Barcelona, that was very cool and enough to make me want to go there!

1. I've been watching, I actually liked the blondes |
|
I was pulling for them to win just because they dispelled the myths about pretty girls being dumb, they are far from it. A little bad luck at the end helps. I'm pulling for Rob and Kim, they seem to bicker at each other but it seems to work for them. If they could ever learn to read a map they would win easy.

2. I'll admit than any of the final 4 teams would deserve to win |
|
I didn't like how the girls used, constantly, flirting to achieve their goals. The guys imho played the cleanest game. Alabama has displayed some unappealing behavior and attitudes. Rob and Kim rubbed me wrong early on for some reason that I cannot recall.

3. The Alabama team to me has ridden the coatails of the |
|
others that were in their alliance. Granted, the others in the 6 pack or whatever it was should have booted them out quickly. I don't see the big deal with flirting to get things done, you have a strength and you use it. If two of the members on the team are athletic you would do well on the challenges, just the way it is.

4. Yeah, I just don't see it that way (re flirting) |
|
In one case (athlete), the person takes advantage of their own ability.
In the other case (flirting), the person takes advantage of someone else's weakness.
Not even comparable.

6. It's a race for a million dollars, why would you not use |
|
an advantage like that. They never forced anyone to help them, they ask nicely and people help. I don't really see this as a big issue. They haven't played the race unethical in my opinion. If I were on the race I would flirt to get ahead or use my physical ability to get ahead.
I haven't really been excited about this season. BJ and Tyler from the last season set the bar so high for entertainment it's tough to compare.

7. Totally agree about BJ and Tyler! They were very cool |
|
Ah, I'm not saying they *shouldn't* use flirting, or that I wouldn't either -- just that as an observer, I don't like watching it happen, it just really bothers me. Hypocritical, no doubt, but just my reaction...
Also, I doubt that they constrain this *tactic* to million-dollar races. It seems clear that they both have abundant experience in using this particular "skill" in everyday life. Just sayin

5. I've been watching this season |
|
And I can honestly say that this is one where I don't care who wins. I actually think the boys have the strongest chance to win, but it would be nice to see an all girl team win (even though I'm no fan of the Alabama girls). I really didn't like the blond team. If they called the Alabama team "sistahs" one more time, I was going to scream.

|
Didn't like any of the final 4 teams. Watched the end, just because I enjoy the race, but it's a lot less fun if you're not rooting for or against a team.

I love Amazing Race but I'm seriously not sure I can watch those two again. Bad decision on the producers' part. There are so many good teams to chose from.

16. How much will they be paid THIS time? |
|
Edited on Thu Dec-14-06 09:31 AM by FormerRushFan
They were paid $500,000 for being on TAR first go-round.
They're GREAT competitors, but I really hope they're not getting paid again just to show up.

Now I'll miss at least part of it, because I refuse to watch as long as they're on. I had to stop watching the first time they were on. Bad decision to bring them back.

rules they just used strategy with it, which I like. Colin and Christie are back to "Hakunamatata" guy. Alot of people didn't like them.

I "intensely dislike them" also. I can't believe CBS is going to put them on TV yet again. Two seasons of Survivor each, 1 season of The Amazing Race, a wedding special, and now this? I won't watch them. I think it was a bad choice, but then I think All-Star shows aren't the greatest. Don't enough people audition for the Amazing Race? For me, it is just that these teams already got their chance to do this and there are others that want that chance, why do they get to do it twice? Maybe it's just me being jealous but that's how I feel. I always wanted to be on The Amazing Race!
(By the way, did anyone know there is an Amazing Race Asia? It is all in English, made by the same people but features teams from Asian countries and a different host. They have really hard challenges!)
