True Blood
So True Blood's season 4 premiered last night. I have become a big fan of this series. Last night's show was good, but not great. I hated that Sookie goes to Fairyland. While it was more fun after it was clear Fairyland is really some dark desolate plain and the fae are really not pretty tinkerbelle's but more monstrous and led by Queen Mab.

But the time-shift, that was weird. Sookie is gone for 8 minutes, but its really over a year in our time? Come on, just do a plot jump without the magic. Just tell us a year has passed and move on. Anyway, some good things happened since last season. Jason, thought she was dead, so he sold her house. Turns out he sold it to Eric, who owns the unknown company that bid on the house. Jason is also a cop and the father-figure to a bunch of presumably shape-shifting kids in the backwoods. He is also the good cop, who is covering up and helping Andy Bellefleur with his addiction to vampire blood.

Bill is King of Louisiana. I assume this means he beat Sophie Anne in their fight and either married her or took her throne in some weird vampire ceremony. Eric seems to have nothing to stop him from getting Sookie. God that was a hot scene at the end with the two of them. I am so a Team Eric guy.

Tara is one of the best characters on the show. She is in the Big Easy, cage fighting and sleeping with a beautiful woman. Lafayette still is fun, but with better hair. He is seriously strong in magic and a head witch wants him for her coven. Sam is back, having shot his brother Tommy. tommy seems mostly okay, but a year later he is still in a brace and limping. Tommy also seems to have replaced Hoyt as his mother's son. she is taking car eof Timmy, and I hope its only in a mother-son way. Gross to think about anything more. Oh yeah, and I love Sam taking anger management classes with a group of shape-shifters, who get out the anger by turning into wild stallions and run in the woods.

But the best part of this season will be Jessica. She and Hoyt are trying the "shackin up" thing. But its not going well. She is a young vampire and wants to hunt/feed. She will be fun this season.

Lastly, Arlene had he demon baby. And at 1 he is pulling heads off barbie dolls and Terry tries to tell her that he is normal. I can see Rene in him already.

Should be a fun season, but there is a lot going on to follow. They may be spreading themselves too thin. Sam and his brother, Tara and Jason, they are fun when they are a part of Sookie's life and the main story. But if we spend too much time on them, I am not going to like it.

2. Well that would put a damper on any future season
SO I doubt that will happen. I do love the actress who plays Marnie, Fiona Shaw.

3. I agree. Fiona Shaw is a fantastic
actress. I think her range is remarkable, her intelligence and spirit comes through in everything she does. She is a real asset to True Blood, one of the reasons I'm still watching this season. The plots this time are so disjointed to me.
