I saw an Anus Magnet today, oh my..............
Edited on Thu Dec-29-11 03:28 PM by DainBramaged

This is where the cow picks up some kind of wire or nails accidentally when grazing and it gets stuck in their reticulum (one of the stomach compartments). The reticulum sits right against the diaphragm, and on the other side of the diaphragm is where the heart lives. With hardware disease the piece of metal pierces the wall of the reticulum when it contracts and can potentially stab the heart and create an infection. An infection in the heart "seeds" the body with the bacteria from the infection as it pumps the blood through.
One of the most interesting things about Hardware Disease is that if you catch it early, before it pierces the heart, the treatment is very specialized.....it is a magnet! You heard it right! A magnet! By putting a magnet in their stomach it keeps the metal pieces from piercing the wall of the reticulum and therefor heart

2. It makes perfect sense too!
Grazing animals on a farm, a nice anus magnet does the trick

3. Some things one simply has to wonder how they were thought of. One
example I've used before is the toad that has the hallucinogenic substance on its back.

Did a couple of guys discover that one day while sitting around asking themselves what would happen if they licked a toad's back? That sort of thing.

5. Commonly referred to as simply, a "Cow Magnet", these are acually inserted in the other end...

6. I thought this was going to be another thread about Santorum.

Does this make me a bad person?

I've seen these magnets -- they are very smooth and shiny, about the size of a man's thumb.

"Hardware disease" is a misnomer -- it should be called "Human carelessness disease" -- if the cows didn't have bits of baling wire mixed in with their hay, they wouldn't need the magnets.
