So I went to a pistol range today... |
|
My $80 Chinese Tokarev copy ate about 160 rounds of surplus 7.62X25 ammo without a single hiccup. The gun seems to shoot a little high and left from the sight picture, but I still placed all shots center mass on my fifth target sheet. This is the best $80 I've ever spent for a gun.
My CZ-70, however, has an issue. After firing 4-5 rounds, it misfeeds. I'm not certain if the feed ramp or the magazine is causing the problem.

1. What type of ammo are you shooting? |
|
I'm not all that familiar with the CZ-70, but some guns can be pretty picky about what they eat.

I've used S&B FMJ as well and it has had the same problem. I'm going to start with a new magazine and go from there.

3. Check your mags and mag springs, on the CZ |
|
Mags get damaged in use, and mag springs can just get tired. If thats not the culprit, check your recoil springs and possibly your ammo.

Yu would be suprised how little ex-military pistol or rifles like high quality ammo. Sometimes it better to feed them the cheapest crap you can buy.

5. Is it an indoor range, or an outdoor range? |
|
Because a post about going to an indoor shooting range in the "outdoor life group" forum would be ironic.

7. Well, Lets ask Skinner to let the general purpose... |
|
Shooting sports posts get lumped back into either its own group or Guns. This is dumb as it is set up. I do not hunt, I target shoot.

8. Agree with that...and if guns stay here, then a lot of gun posts |
|
in Outdoor Life will continue to be non-outdoors related, since most shooters don't hunt.
My wife and I own several guns between us and are avid shooters, but neither of us would consider ourselves "sportsmen" or "outdoorsmen."
