Kucinich dissed by wingnut @sshole on KTRH in Houston
I just thought some of y'all might want to join me in sending a nastygram to Chris Baker on AM 740 KTRH in Houston. One thing I really hate about him is how juvenile and pathetic he is. Argue the facts, but don't just throw idiotic insults at someone!

Anyway, today on his show - which I only caught accidentally as I wasn't paying attention until I heard K's name mentioned - he was bitching about what Dennis said about talk radio, which he construed as meaning Dennis thinks we are "too stupid" to choose what to listen too. But then he just HAD to throw out an idiotic insult as well... he said Dennis looked like he hadn't bathed "in forever."

Here's what he had to say about the actual issue...

Democrats showing their fascist side

Dennis Kucinich has decided that you are too stupid to discuss issues, events, news, government or anything without the approval of the imperial federal government. Kucinich (who turned his presidential campaign into a dating game) does not want you to share your opinion.

This has been predicted for some time. Politicians realize that when you the citizen are able to communicate in an open forum, exchange opinions or expose their (governments) failures they can’t ram their agendas down your throat.

The party of free speech, diversity and tolerance, debate, alternative views and all the other bull squeeze we keep hearing about are liars. It’s their way or no way and you are too stupid to understand "the issues."

You don’t comprehend the nuances of terrorism, illegal immigration, healthcare, education, child care, crime, taxation or a variety of other issues. You shouldn’t have the ability to choose what you listen to and you shouldn’t have the ability to publicly disagree.

Anyway, if anyone wants to join me in sending a note his way....

1. How do the wingnuts figure this?
I mean, I know they are famous for believing that black is white, but even by their standards it requires a HUGH (sic) leap of logic to translate the revival of the fairness doctrine into "Dennis Kucinich has decided that you are too stupid to discuss issues, events, news, government or anything without the approval of the imperial federal government."

2. It makes my brain hurt to try to think like them.
It's like a mental game of Twister.

3. I wonder if their waning fortunes has made the RW more dishonest
A few years ago, when triumphalism was in the air, when the Dixie Chicks were having their CDs burnt and Donahue was sacked for questioning Der Fuhrer, the far right may well have been upfront enough to say "we're glad the fairness doctrine was abolished, because we don't believe in fairness unless it benefits us to do so, and we think dissent should be silenced" (though they wouldn't put it in quite those terms, of course). Now that they are in retreat, especially since November, they have to try and blow smoke to pretend that the debate is about something other than what it is.

4. Talk radio in Houston is pretty much pro-nazi,
except for KPFT - Pacifica.

5. Yes the only bright spot.
I only listen to KPFT-FM Pacifica in Houston, and have Air America on XM.
