Say a prayer tonight for the lady who lost her son in the dog mauling |
|
There's this incredibly vicious thread going on in GD; re., the boy mauled to death by the family's pit bulls. Everyone is piling on on the mother for saying it was his "time" to go, or words to that effect. (Who knows what she said; the woman is in shock.) I'm ashamed to be a part of this board. I've also paid my last visit to GD.
Whatever culpability she has for having pit bulls in her home, I suppose it's not that different than the parent who installs a swimming pool in the backyard, and then her toddler drowns. Or the guy who accidentally runs over his little daughter when she darts out of the house to say goodbye. (That actually happened.) Don't know what'll become of the woman, but I hope a few of you remember her in your prayers tonight.

Don't know if the thread is still active. Haven't been back to look.

3. It's amazing that people don't realize that |

a woman who came home and found her son mauled to death would be in shock. Thanks for saying it so well. People do tend to pile on in GD threads, especially if there are any religious overtones, as with this woman's comments. I think she may have even mentioned God in her statements about her son's death being his "time."
No matter what she says, she needs prayers, not scorn; her life will be difficult due to this boy's death.
