I am Episcopalian and am looking for a way to meld my religious and political beliefs in an environment that often considers them to be polar opposite.

As far as I'm concerned. Other non-Catholics post here: as long as you abide by the group rules (which forbids RC bashing, although plenty of us do freely criticize on occasion) I wouldn't see why not.
I've stopped posting in the R&T forum because, frankly, it's getting boring and repetitive over there. (How many ways can we post 'truth' that God does not exist.)

GD continues to astonish me with rancor towards Christians and I think I have a glimmer now of how moderate Muslims must feel!
I also am looking for a group where when I post something eventually somebody says at least something about it. GD is so huge it is like the merry-go-round; if you miss the golden ring it's over because discussion moves on and your chance is over!
I'm looking for a place where I can connect with people, not just ideas. I have just begun to explore these smaller forums.

3. I imagine you'd fit in very well here. |

The actual denomination really matters much less than the spririt and approach. I'd welcome you!
That said, we aren't the fastest-paced bunch, but that seems to be true of most of the interest boards. We post when we can and when something moves us.

on GD it rolls along like a teleprompter or something. You get going on a post and by the time you send it ten people have written the same thing. And I have a feeling that very little of what you write is actually read because of the sheer volume.

5. I don't regularly post here |
|
but I do enjoy checking in on those that have posted in here. It's a sort of calm in the middle of the fast-paced DU storm, if you will! And I also appreciate the Catholic POV, as well as the fellow liberal Christian POV. Tallahassee, I think you'd be a welcome addition to this forum! :)

6. I am an Episcopalian too! |
|
I went to a Roman Catholic college and sometimes go to Mass on weekdays. Liberal Roman Catholics have always welcomed me and I know they would welcome you, too!
