Anybody had experience with Straterra? |
|
I'm getting afraid of Dexedrine (addiction) and thinking about going on it.
My son's doc is also recommending it for him.
What do I have to look forward to, good or bad?
(Yes, I've done my research, I want personal stories).

and it is working so far. I was on Dexedrine and Concerta, but didn't like the way it made me feel after a while, so that's why I made the switch. My husband's doctor checks his liver count frequently to make sure all is going okay.
As far as it helping his ADHD, it has done wonders. I can definitely tell when he hasn't taken his medicine.

3. Strattera did nothing for me |
|
But that doesn't mean it won't work for you. I'm on Concerta now, and so far, so good.
I had a few side effects on Strattera, including the shakes for a while. The biggest benefit that I can see is that Strattera is not a controlled substance. Your doc can fill it for you over the phone. With Concerta I have to get a 30-day prescription, then go back in and get a new scrip.
