Resident of Group Home Running for US Senate in NJ
Edited on Fri Apr-14-06 12:56 AM by Kire
Bob Menendez has a primary opponent and his name is James Kelly, Jr., who is a resident of a group home for people with mental illnesses in Chester, NJ.

In 2005, he ran for Governor and got http://www.state.nj.us/lps/elections/05primaryelection/05_primary_official_results-gov.pdf">19,512 votes, doing better than several Republican candidates in their primary. He also ran for Congress in 1998.

Here's a brief blog post about it:

I just thought people in this forum might like to hear about this.
