Anti-depressants and urinary problems |
|
I am just figuring out, via google (friggin doctors don't know shit) that the last few years of urinary/bladder problems may very likely be due to long term use of prozac , other drugs are just as bad, so now I feel I must get off everything as once you lose control of bladder function, your life really really will suck. Any body else having bladder issues with ssri's or tricyclics?

1. Doctors do know some things though |
|
so please DO NOT stop taking your meds without talking to one first. Explain your concerns and findings.
I, too, have been doing much research and quitting meds on your own can be very harmful. I wish you the best of luck with this.

2. been off it for awhile..,, |
|
just went back on it in december and now it is quite clear it has major issues on the bladder/kidneys and prostate........at least for me. Good to know. But there are others out there having problems and the drug companys are'nt going to advertise the problems of their big money makers.
Peace~Love

you should get an insert with your medication that explains all the KNOWN possible side effects. If you ever hear the ads on TV they do just that list ALL the known side effects. Here is some info: http://www.goaskalice.columbia.edu/0817.html

3. Have you ever had your blood sugar checked? |
|
Doug was having big problems. We figured out it could be diabetes and asked for a test. Sure enough, his blood sugar was completely out of control.

6. There are lots of causes for bladder/urinary problems. How old are you? |
|
Male or female? They may or may not be related to taking meds.
