I have a question about fluoxetine... |
|
I have a bottle sitting in my medicine cabinet from December, and I'm wondering if it is still good...ie. not expired (it's liquid fluoxetine, by the way). I don't have medical insurance and I'm hoping I can stay on it for another month at least.
Thanks in advance.

1. Expiration dates are often arbitrary. An FDA study shows 90% of meds are good after 15 years |

3. except when dictated by chain drug stores. |

walgreens marks all prescriptions that it fills with an expiration date in 1 year. they got in some trouble for that recently. not sure if they have cleaned up their act, tho. i don't shop there. i used to have a friend who was a researcher for a big drug company. he told me that most drugs never degrade, and of those that do, they simply lose the efficacy. he said none that he knew of turned into anything dangerous.
