Not really classical so much, but any fans here?
I first heard him through a teacher back in high school (im now 26) and have bought his CDs since then.
I have always wanted to see him live - anyone so lucky?

1. Bocelli is talented, but the over-schmaltzty repertoire and performances.. |
|
make him a pop singer in my book, just as Mario Lanza chose to be.

5. I agree... His voice is stronger than Lanza's was, but |
|
schmaltzy all the same.... even more so.

2. I have his Sacred Arias CD, and I really love it. |
|
He's not an operatically trained singer, but I think has a beautiful voice.

I even like the schmaltzy ones he sings. One of my favorites is his Verdi album, though.

7. I think he has a nice voice but the question is .. |
|
how he would perform in an opera house without amplification of his voice. I've only heard hom on recordings or at televised miked performances.
