I saw Renee Fleming in concert

on the 17th of December (forgot to post here). Good goddess, what a voice! The resonance! There's just something about her resonance that reminds me of the late, great Beverly Sills. Her rendition of "Song to the Moon" and "O mio babbino caro" had me in solid tears from beginning to end. I thought she was extremely generous coming to Fresno during the holidays -- a very busy time. Also, the nosebleed section seats were only $35.00 (find THAT in New York). Anyway, that was my Christmas present from myself to myself. It's something I'll remember the rest of my life. (sigh)
