Anyone ever read Jennifer Roberson's Sword-Dancer series? |
|
Tiger and Del?
What are your thoughts on the series?
I personally loved it myself in general. I loved the story telling, one liners and the relationship between Tiger and Del

1. I read a different series |
|
that she wrote: "Chronicals of the Cheysuli." They belong to my son, so I didn't reread them, and it was a few years ago, so I don't know if I can talk about them in detail. I believe they were about a kingdom divided between a scapegoated, hunted race of magical people and the non-magical; focus on political machinations.
That's probably a really poor description, but it's what I remember!

2. You're basically right about the Cheysuli series which is good. |
|
If you like good one liners and humor in fantasy lit you'll love the sword-dancer series.

4. Read the first two and liked them, but |
|
I stoped then, because I thought the rationale Del used (at the end of #2) for killing Tiger was evil and inexcusable.
Even though I understand that in the next book she didn't really kill him.
Still have the next book or two in the series around somewhere. Am open to convincing that it's worthwhile going on with them.

5. It is worth reading...I don't want to say too much to give it away but |
|
you find that it was something behind that rationale. Try the first 3 chapters of the 3rd book and see how it grabs you.
