My snow photo of the day

Gulls looking for food ..............in the snow! Oh, by the way, no the lake isn't frozen. (???) Not my best gull or snow picture, but left me scratching my head for sure.

I think this is a good shot; not easy with the sun out, and all of that light refelection from the snow.

2. What were they thinking?

Can't imagine what they were doing. The only reason I like the shot is because until I looked at it I had no idea that the gulls were foraging in the snow. When I was there I didn't notice it at all. And then I come back home and see this...........the lake wasn't frozen but I think the ground was frozen.

Looks like it might actually have been the gathering of ammunition for a gull snowball fight. :D
