3. This guy almost gored me
I was an idiot. I think the only thing that saved me was I didn't take off running when he took the 3 steps toward me snorting.

9. ye gads
Once my husband was chased to the top of his car by a bull. I was inside the car with the windows rolled up, as was my kid. He didn't have time to open the door. I thought the photographer of the bison was a bit too close, even with the fence in between.

What can I say?

These creatures are amazing, The first one reminds me of a groomed poodle. I am feeling a bit sorry for the ones in chains, though they seem to like each other. And cows on a beach (I think) is not something I expected from this thread.

Your photos are very refreshing.

17. Special. All of them. But do you believe I remember the third one?
You did something to it that other time, I don't remember what, but I think I like it better this way.

14. aww, llamas
Isn't there a boom/bust cycle in these creatures? Are they for milk or do people actually eat their meat?

18. Llamas and Alpacas are bred for their fleece. Sweaters, blankets, socks.
They are also used for pack animals to carry loads. Llamas for sure, but maybe Alpacas not so much.
Alpaca have the softer less scratchy fleece.
And that's all I know, remembered from a trip to Peru in a life time far far away.

in the lower Napa Valley. There was disagreement over one site's future expansion plans, and the whole issue of aesthetics/suitability entered the "debate". NV Whino knows more of the story than I do (I think).

21. Yeah; things went from bad to worse after that. The offending cow
was aimed at the business shown below, directly in their line of sight next to the highway. All manner of hilarity ensued...including lawyers, planning commissions, outraged or bemused citizens, etc., etc.

The Napa Valley has its own culture of outrage...
