Yosemite day 2 - with snow!!
What a difference a day makes. Yesterday it was warm and sunny. Today it is a winter wonderland. Looks like I might have some photos to consider for next years winter contest.

If it clears off I'll try to get a night shot of the moon and Half Dome. Doesn't show much sign of clearing off, though. Glad we brought chains so we can get out of here on Friday.

The creek is starting to flow. It shoud be raging soon.

1. Wow. 2 different seasons over 2 days.
Beautiful! All of them. I especially love 1 & 3.

2. I've got a painting of the top image from the 1890's? Very large painting
Monogrammed by the artist. Great B/W images!

4. I am hoping to
get a shot of Half Dome but it may be too snowy while we're here. No chance of a moon shot tonight, too overcast. :-(

I took those shots in color, but th contrast really does make them appear B&W.

8. That black and white world is very familiar to me.
It's been hard for me to get back out into it after all the color of Costa Rica, but you have inspired me.

All of your Yosemite shots are absolutely gorgeous. I love them. (And I knew they were color shots. :) )

5. so magnificant
this large Bierstadt is in the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum... I used to go and just bask in the glory of it... your pictures are a delight.

When I visited Yosemite I didn't have much time and it as pretty much just a drive through... headed that way again this spring, hope I can find the time to relish it

6. Oh GAWD these are beautiful!
Your third photo with the creek is just super . . . and that log seems to finish the composition.

Our snow is melting so we're pretty much "brown" around here.

9. I hope you're having a great time--I'm certain you are
I haven't been to Yosemite in wintertime since about 2002. You've got some really nice shots. I find myself wondering what Vernal and Nevada Falls look like in this weather. Enjoy your trip!
