Happy Family.

2. I wish this was my backyard. How cool would that be?
They are from various parks in Heidelberg and Mannheim.

9. I've a Red cockaded Woodpecker in the back. He's protected.
We lucked upon him and the trees were marked (white band) for his protection. There are a few others on post but this is the first one in our housing area we were told. We only seen him every now and then.

As for the other....believe that one is a goner.

10. Actually, good news about the Lord God Bird - it's not extinct
It was rediscovered a few years ago. Rare, but alive.

7. It's a wood duck
and he's absolutely glorious. There is a pair who grace my client's pond every year. Can't ever get close enough to get a photograph though. My first viewing of a wood duck was in GA when I was hiking around in the woods. I rounded a bend in the path to a very small pond and there they were in all their glory. Took my breath away.
