Sunset at Red Rock Canyon
Drove out to Red Rock Canyon this evening as there were some nice clouds, hoping for a good sunset. Took this shot at the very end of my walk.

3. Oh this is so gorgeous. I can breathe the air.
When I can peel myself off the Blackjack table that's where I go. Or used to. My days to go to Vegas may well be over.
Besides, I may go to Hoover Dam in search of Rachel.

6. Well, if you do get out here...
...Hoover Dam is always a great destination! The scale of the project, along with the Art Deco theme, are irresistible and it's all very photogenic. The new bypass bridge is also a great addition.

7. I have not yet seen the bridge
and it has been a number of years since my camera and I were there. It was humongous-ly breathtaking on all levels, even the flora on the ground. I remember acres of yellow prickly yet beautiful flowers.
Back to Red Rock Canyon though.
Your photo made me say "I can smell it" - (i think that's what I said) - because I laid back in the car- opened all the windows - and meditated a while.
Deep breath in, and long breath out.

4. That's very pretty.
I love the pastels and the light on the bushes.

5. Thanks everyone...
...appreciate the comments. One thing I noticed when I moved here is the colors of the sunset are different from the SF Bay Area -- here it's less orange and more dusty pink for some reason. The other thing I noticed, is that there is a lot of natural beauty around Las Vegas, that rarely gets mentioned, so it was a surprise to me.
