DU calendar?

Question: will there be a DU calendar for 2012? And if yes, how does it work this year?

There isn't going to be a calendar for 2012 unless someone volunteers to do it. Here are a couple relevant threads.

4. Searching...

I remembered there was a thread with the initial announcement about the calendar earlier in the year. I knew that the thread wouldn't be in the archive yet, as the posts in the Photography thread don't accumulate as quickly as some other groups. So, instead of using the site's search function, I started going back through the 20 pages of threads. I skipped the first few, as I knew the post was from months ago. After each page loaded, I used the text search of the browser (ctrl-f on most browsers) and searched for "calendar". Using this to search would pick up the word if it appeared in the thread title. I found the second one first but knew it wasn't the initial calendar post. I kept going back through the pages until I found the initial post.

Of course, this will only work if the post isn't archived and if you have at least one keyword you can search for in the thread title.

5. here is another way, and easier I think

While you are IN the photography group, hit search (above)

From search, click on advanced search.

Then you can input the author's name, of the thread you are looking for, or leave it blank.

Input "calendar"

You can indicate if you want to search for that term in the subject, or the subject and message.

You can skip all that stuff in red.

This would do a search of the group for the past month. If you want it for, say, six months, change the "from" to something like April 2011.

Then click Search Now!

6. Hi MissHoneychurch

I'm so sorry, but as far as I know there will not be a calendar. I was hoping to have more time, but it just didn't happen, and now I'm knee deep in school, etc. I'm not even sure that there would be enough time to get it together now, even if someone volunteered.
