*****Submission Thread for Seasonal Contest***** SCENES of AUTUMN

The subject for this contest is "SCENES OF AUTUMN".

The top two finishers in each round will advance to the finals, along with the next four highest vote-getters overall.


The submission thread will close at 6 pm EST on Tuesday Nov. 8 or whenever thirty photos have been submitted.
Preliminaries will be posted Wednesday evening Nov. 9 and will run til Saturday evening Nov. 12 at 6 pm EST
Finals will run Sunday Nov. 13 until Tues evening 6 pm, Nov. 15 and the winners will be posted thereafter.


This way I think the Seasonal and November contests will not run concurrently.

BASIC CONTEST/CHALLENGE RULES:

Only one entry per person. You need to post your entry in this submission thread. Please be sure to include a "Title" for your photograph in the Subject line of your post, do not have brackets in your title because they won't show in the poll line-up.
The submission thread is for photo entries only, no comments. The comment thread is linked to the submission thread, make your comments there.

Please keep your photograph entry no larger than 800 pixels in its longest dimension and under 200K in file size, unless otherwise designated by contest host. If you need help posting a photograph or with image sizing just ask.

Please do not use frames, except for a 10 pixel black frame to define white backgrounds.

Post-processing is permitted in the same tradition as processing techniques of print photography.

The contest host may alter the written rules at the beginning of their contest, and is the final arbiter of the rules and any issues that may arise.

The contest host may not enter their own photo contest, but may choose the theme in any manner they decide. (The quarterly seasonal contests are an exception to that rule, and the host may enter those contests.)

The winner of the contest agrees to host the next month's contest (or recruit someone else to host the contest).

29. A little extra time might not hurt. I'd surely like another entry or two or six.

I'll leave it open a few more hours, as I won't start the preliminaries until tomorrow evening.
The reason for that is so I can create a little weekend voting time for the threads as well.
