Want to let the kids make some paper mache snowman for Christmas decorations. Is there a non toxic way to "waterproof" them so they could be set outside?

1. I dont' know if this is any help but I use a product called WeldBond. |

It's non toxic. I use it to bond and seal (waterproof) art projects, and the stuff dries crystal clear. I love it because I make mermaid boxes from finely crushed eggshells, seashells, beads, all really small objects, and I've been able to rinse the boxes with water when too much dust settles on them, and it stays in tact.
