ah the intangibles v cash
love is good. praise is good. friends are good. but i sold a little piece this weekend, and the buyer was overheard oozing about it. when someone sees your work and has to have it- it's different. very different.
now if i can only line up a few more like that, but with deeper pockets.

1. Congratulations, Mopinko! Which one was it?
Is it on your site?

Cool that the new owner really loves it. Your piece has found a good home.

2. they are not up.
i make little pieces, i call them muffins, sort of like a little tea cup that you hold in your hand. i sell them cheap. i sold about a half dozen, i think. (check comes one of these days soon.)
i need to get some of my little ink drawings up, also. i sold one of those to a du'er who made the trek. sold a couple tshirts.
also got invited to be in a show in april. porcelain. he invited 2 others from the group, but was especially excited to get my because i had wall stuff. and he liked the combo with the cast paper. probably not a big deal. teenie tiny little town. but heh......

3. Love and praise don't fill your belly.

The term "starving artist" exists for a reason, because it's damned hard to make money doing it. :)

I've had that sensation of someone seeing something you've done and having to have it. I never got it, and it kind of creeps me out a bit. That wouldn't stop me from selling it though. ;)
