Will all you cartoonists/ illustrators please stand up

I was primarily a painter who worked in oil.

My works however always tended to be a bit on the cartoon side. This one was supposed to be a self portrait (that was supposed to be me laying on the floor their). I originally didn't have a title for this, but lately I'm thinking of calling it "Sleepless in New England"

Warning: Kind of creepy and more than a tad suggestive...














I was inspired a lot by fantasy illustrators and cartoonist, and judging from the responses from the initial meet and greet thread we have one other fantasy illustrator among us (awesome work there MelaineArt:thumbsup: ) I thought I'd show you some of mine, and maybe see some of yours...

Not much here, just some pen and ink sketches of some of the characters from a novel i wrote (yeah, I write too). I guess you could call them character sketches.:7

(I've edited these to remove the character's names, still got to protect my ideas somewhat...)

The main character as a little girl...



The story is about a high school student, sort of a satire of a teen drama this is the main character's best friend from high school...



Maybe you? Or maybe this was you in high school...



Not a character, bit a place, an old abandoned amusement park, that figures prominently into the story.





And just for fun...this just a minor character in the story...but he bares more than a passing resemblance to me in high school...



Not all of us were that pretty in high school,;) .

yeah, you're stuff is kind of creepy! I've seen a fair amount of such styles in recent years. Traditional people like myself are swiftly becoming passe, I'm afraid.

It's just I sometime feel comic art and illustration don't get taken seriously as "real" art, what ever that means...
