Animation Review: Blood The Last Vampire

Blood: The Last Vampire

This is a review of the animated movie, as opposed to the live action movie or the TV show.

Story: A cute vampire girl infiltrates a school in order to vanquish the demons who have disguised themselves as students. Her preferred method of demon slaying is to cut them in half with a katana. This movie is more about looking cool and bloody fights than story.

Animation: Excellent. I believe this anime was animated by the people who created Ghost in the Shell, but they used new animation techniques which look really nice.

Humor: No intentional humor.

Violence: Very violent and bloody, but no scenes of torture or prolonged suffering.

Hentai Action: None.

Overall: Fast paced and really slick. I recommend for anyone looking for some mindless violent eye candy. The original language track is mostly English, which is unusual for anime.

They're now out with a live-action version of Blood.
