I had a replacement storm door installed 5 years ago and along with the installation, they wrapped my frame in almond colored aluminum to go with the frames around my replacement windows. Now I find I cannot close the storm door all the way..in fact it is about 3 inches short of closing. It is a heavy door and I want to keep it.
My home is on some expansive clay and will shift depending on how much moisture is in the ground. I am pretty certain this is the cause, but I don't know the remedy.
I don't want to call the company back to fix it as I was unhappy with them for other reasons. Any ideas?

1. If you're not comfortable with what could turn out to be a big job |

Try to find a handyman.
If you can't, see if you you or anyone esle knows a real estate agent. They all have contacts with handymen who do repairs for cleints in prepration for selling a house.
Generally, these guys are pretty amazing at jobs like this. The downside is, they only have a reputation .... not a license, so look for references.

3. Here is my guesstimate, |

the problem could be the fact they wrapped the door frame with the almond colored aluminum. I would start there by taking it off to see if that makes any difference in closing the door. Let me know how it goes for you.
