Can you install a laminate floor on top of wall to wall carpeting? |
|
I was just watching "Flip This House" and that's what the woman did. I always thought you had to tear out the carpeting and pad.

2. She's gonna get sued for that |
|
when the floor shifts and some of the joints start to crack and the sections come loose.
Why didn't she just cut the carpeting into sections and yank it? It's not that hard a job, I did it in my house, cutting the cost of refinishing the hardwood floors underneath it.
Dumb, dumb, dumb.

3. Well .... you *can* ..... but you'll be damned sorry |
|
You can install it over your lawn, too, I suppose, but I think it might fail.

It's rock hard and flat level out there.
What a twit. Glad I'm not buying that house.

6. Another reason why I would never buy a house |
|
renovated solely for resale purposes. The house down the street was "flipped", and although it is beautiful, looks like an ad for Pottery Barn, after closing they found all sorts of things that were done badly that the inspector didn't catch.

7. absolutely not!! Over vinyl or tile yes, carpet--never. |
|
i used to sell it and went to many, many clinics and product updates for Pergo and Wilsonart and someone always asked that question and the answer was always a resounding "No" no matter who the manufacturer was.
