I "think" I'm ready for the very low temps tonight |
|
I hope so anyway. we're supposed to have a low temp of 11 degrees with a north wind bringing wind chill to 5 degrees or so
I have foam and socks over the pipes, the hole into the side of the house stuffed with another sock and those foam 'hats' on the faucets.
is it enough???

1. Leave your faucet dripping. Do you have any bottled water? |
|
If not, might want to fill a couple of jugs and run some in the bathtub just in case your water freezes.

altho i just checked the weather and they've upped the expected lows for tonight and the wind won't shift from the east so my faucets should be ok

we're used to below freezing at night, but rarely get that close to zero....

3. We have one pipe that freezes when we get to single digits. Leaving the water dripping . . . |
|
. . . prevents the pipe from freezing.
