Help a hardware idiot out.... |
|
Okay I have an HPPavilion110n--my main comupter. I als have a Dell optiplex Gx110 CPU. Can I connect them in some way so that I can use the Dell CPU as a unit for backup storage or media storage rather than filling the hard drive on my HP?

computers directly. If both have network cards installed, you can use a cat5 crossover cable. You can also use a null serial cable, connect both modems, or connect both printer ports. The cat5 solution will be the fastest.
Google "connecting two computers" and you'll find a lot of resources on the Web that explain how to set these up.
