I purchased a bulk e-mail program to send announcements, etc. to my organization's membership. I tried it out with a small number of addresses and it worked fine. When I tried to send it to a list of 600 members it triggered a spam prevention feature on the SMTP server. If I try to bypass the SMTP, the message gets rejected by Comcast, AOL, et al.
I tried another ISP and their customer support told me I might be banned if I tried to send bulk e-mail through their server.
This is a volunteer job so I can't afford to use a foreign server to send these messages. Does anyone have a solution that won't result in losing our domain host?

1. I'm no tech person, but I went to a seminar (pitch session) by |

Patronmail.com and was told that sending bulk mail without someone like them or constantcontact.com can end up with all email you send being tagged as spam and never read. Boogedy. Meanwhile I'm here looking for a website designer.

I design sites at night. I can send you the link to my latest site, and discuss your site if you like what you see.

but I allow send 98 an hour, I use a cron job to control the timing. My provider only allows 100 an hour, so I keep below the limit. Most providers are going to limit the number you can send.
It takes 6 hours to send them all, but I run it overnight, and don't have any problems.
What program did you purchase? I use Phplist for the non-profit I email for. It is a free program with a lot of features to help you keep your email from showing up as spam. See if your program has a setting to control the number sent at one time.
If you would like to PM me, I don't mind helping you through this. I learned my lessons by trial and error, and don't mind helping you avoid that! :)
